From May 9 – 31st, Hinckley Pride will be exhibiting at the Atkins Gallery at the Atkins Building, Hinckley.
The 'Fly Your Pride Flag' exhibition features stunning photography and beautiful bios of our hardworking committee, an interactive board showcasing the exciting events we have coming up, and a cabinet of artefacts featuring the successes shared by Hinckley Pride over the past six months.
Chairperson Dan said,
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Hinckley Pride to showcase its committee and upcoming events. It’s been an amazing first six months, with so much to look forward to in the coming months. It’s fantastic to have such a prominent exhibition celebrating the queer community in Hinckley and Bosworth in such an iconic building. Visibility is a huge part of our goals, and we can’t wait for the people of Hinkley to visit!”
In addition, the exhibition’s main feature is a stunning mosaic collage of the progress flag made up of faces of queer people and allies from Hinckley and Bosworth. Vicechair Kelly adds,
“I feel so proud sitting within the exhibition space. Knowing that Hinckley Pride didn’t exist only six months ago, and now I am part of the founding committee, only weeks away from our first pride, is mind-blowing! The exhibition is the perfect way to learn more about us, and the flag is the perfect installation to unite our community and showcase them!”
