It’s June, which can mean only one thing for the LGBTQ+ community… PRIDE MONTH!
Although Pride is an all-year thing for our community, Pride Month is a time when people can show their support, whether that be queer people, allies or businesses. There is nothing that sparks more joy than seeing the pride flag flying high across all areas of the UK, and Hinckley will be no expectation.
Hinkley Pride have many things to look forward to this June, including;
50K in a Day - Our Chair, Dan, and his parents will be walking 50K on a Day on June 21st as a fundraising event for Hinckley Pride. This is now a small feat and will raise vital funds for Pride and awareness as the walk will take place around the Hinckley and Bosworth borough. Show your support and sponsor today!
Hinckley Market – On Sat June 24th and Sat July 1st, the anniversary of Pride in the UK, our committee will be exhibiting at Hinckley Market. This will allow local people to meet members of our committee, our Pride Hostesses Hope Floats and Ruby V, and get their hands on some Hinckley Pride mechanise ahead of the big day!
Burbage Carnival – On Sun 25th June, the committee will be bursting with pride as they take to the streets of Burbage in their annual carnival. The theme for this year is Kinds and Queens, so beware…. DRAG QUEENS ARE COMING! We will also be at the fayre with more merchandise goodies!
